The Mr. P Signature 6.6 tuba mouthpiece is the latest design by Professor Daniel Perantoni of the prestigious Indiana University School of Music, aka, Mr. P . The 6.6 is the result of over 50 years of Mr. P s experience in instrument and mouthpiece design.
The Mr. P Signature 6.6 tuba mouthpiece has a moderately deep cup, that rounds out at the bottom. It uses the same sharp, but comfortable rim as the Mr. P 6.5 mouthpiece, but can provide even more power when needed. The 6.6 is an excellent choice for players using F or Eb tubas in chamber settings or large ensembles. It can also be a great option on a contrabass tuba when you have to play difficult passages in the upper register.
